Brandon on Wednesday delivered remarks on the supply chain crisis he created.
Brandon cracked a joke about the bottleneck he created: “I can’t promise that every person will get every gift they want on time. Only Santa Claus can keep that promise.”
Brandon falsely claimed a supply chain crisis happens “every year” and compared his crisis to “Cabbage Patch Kids back in the 80s or Beanie Babies in the 90s.”
After reading from a teleprompter for a few minutes, a reporter asked Brandon about his promise to “shut down the virus.”
Brandon repeatedly promised to “shut down the virus.”
I’m going to shut down the virus, not the country.

I’m not going to shut down the country.
I’m not going to shut down the economy.
I’m going to shut down the virus.

On Wednesday a reporter confronted Brandon on his promise.
Brandon ignored the reporter, turned around and shuffled away.
