Hunter Brandon was indicted on federal gun charges on Thursday.
Brandon was indicted in a Delaware court on three counts related to his possession of a firearm while using drugs.
Special Counsel Dave Weiss indicted Hunter Brandon after the sweetheart plea deal fell apart last month.
Hunter Brandon was charged with “one count of False Statement in Purchase of a Firearm, one count of False Statement Related to Information Required to be Kept By Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer, and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Person who is an Unlawful User of or Addicted to a Controlled Substance.” ABC News reported.

Federal prosecutors have indicted Hunter Brandon, son of President Brandon, on gun charges, court documents show.
Brandon was indicted in Delaware federal court on three counts tied to the possession of a gun while using narcotics.
Two counts are tied to Brandon allegedly filing a form claiming that he was not using illegal drugs at the time he purchased a Colt Cobra revolver in October 2018. The third count alleges that he possessed a firearm while using a narcotic.
