Even Democrats Call Out Biden For Ending Trump Border Policy That Allowed For Rapid Expulsion -- "A Frightening Decision"

The Brandon administration rescinded Title 42 on Friday.

The policy allowed border agents to turn away migrants seeking entry into the United States.

Title 42 was implemented by the Trump administration in 2020 and allowed for the rapid expulsion of migrants at the border.

The Brandon administration on Friday rescinded Title 42, the Trump-era policy that allows for the rapid expulsion of migrants at the border and blocks them from seeking asylum.

Democrats in battleground states are now warning the Brandon administration against ending the policy.

Democrats Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, Mark Kelly, Maggie Hassan, and Vicente Gonzalez have all warned Brandon over the decision.

Manchin even went as far as to call it “a frightening decision.”

Breitbart reported:

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) called the move “a frightening decision.”

“Title 42 has been an essential tool in combatting the spread of COVID-19 and controlling the influx of migrants at our southern border,” Manchin said. “We are already facing an unprecedented increase in migrants this year, and that will only get worse if the administration ends the Title 42 policy. We are nowhere near prepared to deal with that influx.”

Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), both of who urged Brandon to keep Title 42 in place, said the decision shows the depth to which the White House does not understand the toll illegal immigration has on border communities.

Border crossings could triple due to the rescinding of Title 42.

The Daily Mail reported:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were warned to prepare for illegal border crossings, which are already at record-high levels, to triple.

An ICE officer who received an alert told The Washington Times that agency employees usually handling enforcement within the country could be deployed to the southern border to help with Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

‘We are on a massive crash trajectory for the system,’ the officer said.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials confirmed Tuesday that they are prepared for migrant flows to reach a ‘very high’ contingency of 18,000 people per day. This would equate to more than 500,000 each month.
