The social fabric of the United States is thin and it’s being shredded more by the day, leading the country down a path of chaos and “anarchy” thanks to rising distrust in all levels of government in the Brandon era, especially the highly politicized Justice Department and FBI.
Attorney Sandra Spurgeon, who has successfully argued and litigated hundreds of state and federal cases, told The Epoch Times, “We are spiraling to anarchy, and we have to take the politics out of the positions by people of power within our legislative and executive branch.”
Her assessment comes on the heels of the highly politicized FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., early last month — which came more than a year after the left-wing deep state stole his reelection from him.
In a window dressing response to accusations of politicization under Brandon, Attorney General Merrick Garland banned all non-career political appointees from attending partisan events and other activities related to politics.
“We must do all we can to maintain public trust and ensure that politics — both in fact and appearance — does not compromise or affect the integrity of our work,” Garland said in a memo to DOJ employees, according to the outlet.
But that’s nothing, considering that most of the partisanship practiced within the agency and the FBI is done by career staff with a hatred of conservatives and especially those who support Trump. That was demonstrated time and again during Trump’s tenure when deep state operatives within the law enforcement and intelligence bureaucracies leaked sensitive information and misinformation throughout his term. Now that Brandon’s in office — a Democrat who has long been part of the D.C. establishment — suddenly the leaks have dried up.
While Spurgeon said she supports Garland’s ban, she understands it is pretty much just BS. She told the outlet that he had to look like he was doing something to combat ‘partisanship’ or the appearance thereof in an attempt to restore some public confidence. Spurgeon also noted that the mid-level and senior leaders of the DOJ and FBI “live a very different life than you and I do.”
“They don’t think about the same things on the level that we would think of things because they have been elevated into a state where they have lost the appreciation of impartiality,” she noted about top government officials who are the subjects of the ban. “And quite frankly, they just don’t care.”
The Epoch Times reported further:
Public distrust of federal law enforcement agencies has trended to low levels, with 53 percent of voters agreeing with a statement that the FBI is “Brandon’s Gestapo,” according to an Aug. 15–16 survey by pollster Rasmussen. The survey of 1,000 U.S. likely voters also showed that 44 percent of respondents view the FBI less favorably since the Mar-a-Lago raid over documents the government alleges Trump doesn’t have permission to hold.
Overall, only 36 percent of likely voters disagree with the description of the FBI as a “Gestapo” that benefits President Brandon.
Spurgeon’s comments come on the heels of a Brandon speech that was purposely scheduled for prime time earlier this month in which he literally described at least half the county as domestic enemies.
Ever since “FBI whistleblowers had begun contacting Members of Congress to report on political pressure from high-ranking FBI officials to falsely label some investigations and run interference on others to serve a political agenda, Attorney General Merrick Garland has been very busy trying to shut them down, and anyone else who might expose what’s going on,” said Jay Sekulow, a former Trump attorney and chief counsel at the American Center for Law and Justice.
Spurgeon is exactly right: Not only is the Brandon regime responsible for destroying what’s left of the trust in our institutions, no one in charge now cares that it’s happening — only that they retain power.
