The World Health Organization (WHO) is set to vote on some amendments to global health regulations that will take away the sovereignty of member nations, including the United States – all in the name of health emergency preparedness.
President Brandon and his administration are actually supporting these amendments that would essentially hand over U.S. sovereignty to the organization, which recently released the document titled “Strengthening WHO preparedness for and response to health emergencies: Proposal for amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005).”
In fact, the amendments were initially put forward in January by the Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs Loyce Pace and the Department of Health and Human Services. This set of amendments will be voted on at the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland slated May 22 to 28.
People are critical of the amendments, which are poised to set a dangerous precedent that could threaten medical freedoms. If these amendments pass, the WHO director-general would be able to unilaterally declare public health emergencies in any nation, even if it is against their government’s will or cooperation. Most notably, the WHO director-general can make such declarations based on personal opinion about whether or not there is a potential or possible threat of outbreaks in certain countries.
Hypothetically, the WHO could also deem climate change, gun violence and racism as public health crises and the organization would have the power to do what it feels necessary without the consent of government officials.
If the target nation fails to accept the WHO’s offer of collaboration within 48 hours, the organization shall immediately share with other state parties all available information.
This means that the WHO is effectively setting up countries that fail to comply with its demands to be financially, economically or politically punished on the global stage, and will be using coercion to get them to comply in the form of sanctions and more.
This takes away the right of individual nations to make decisions about their own public health management as a powerful board of global elites determines whether or not there is a health crisis in any given nation at any given time. Moreover, these people will make decisions based only on personal opinions.
It was also pointed out that the salient fact of this is that rather than publicly supporting a new pandemic treaty, the Brandon administration is trying to use the global momentum for the treaty to strengthen the existing regulations that the U.S. has already signed on to. Because the administration will never get 67 votes in the Senate to ratify a formal treaty of this nature, they are instead going around the Treaty Clause by strengthening this existing agreement.
In a memo from the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Geneva, the Brandon administration listed 20 countries and the 27-member European Union as supporters of the amendment.
Republicans called to put a stop on the ratification of amendments
In an op-ed by American defense lawyer Daniel Horowitz, he mentioned that every Republican running for state or the local office may pledge to pass a resolution to pre-emptively declare the regulations null and void. Only something ratified by 67 senators has the force of law, and international laws don’t have any effect. (Related: WHO calls for “new global public health world order” to take advantage of future plandemics.)
The Brandon administration recently held a “Global COVID Summit,” in which they unanimously warned about a pandemic in the fall that will be far worse than what the Americans have previously experienced. They are already grooming the public to accept a communist-style concentration camp created by global governments.
Horowitz also mentioned that if Congressional Republicans commit to blocking all of the WHO’s funding in its upcoming budget bill, state legislatures may convene and prohibit, and even criminalize the implementation of any international standard on pandemics.
Congressional Republicans can also create a joint committee along with representatives from each state legislature to investigate which entities were behind the original pandemic. These could shed some light on those who seem to have foresight on the next one. (Related: Can the US government create a fake pandemic?)
